Home Clocking Calendar Shortcuts

The home page of Laams Workspace is designed as a unified control center where users can access essential tools, track daily activities, and quickly navigate across the system without switching between multiple screens or apps.

At the top level, the home page includes a clocking widget, which is used for time and attendance management. Through this widget, users can clock in and clock out to record working hours for timesheets. It also supports break tracking, allowing users to log rest periods during their workday, as well as time-off requests, making it easier to manage attendance, availability, and leave directly within the platform.

Alongside this, the home page provides several unified interface widgets that bring together key operational areas into a single view. These typically include calendar, tasks, messages, comments, and other core productivity tools. Each widget is designed to centralize information that would normally be scattered across different modules, helping users stay updated in real time.

The Calendar app within Laams Workspace acts as a centralized scheduling system. It displays all types of events relevant to a signed-in organization member. This includes assigned tasks with deadlines, booked appointments, scheduled meetings, and any other structured events created across the platform. By consolidating everything into one calendar view, users can clearly understand their daily and upcoming commitments without checking multiple systems.

The Tasks app functions as a unified task management interface. It aggregates all pending and overdue tasks assigned to the user, whether they originate from workboards, capacity-building activities, or other modules within the system. In addition to viewing assigned work, users can also create independent tasks, assign them to themselves for personal tracking, or delegate them to coworkers, making it a flexible tool for both individual and team productivity.

The Messages app brings communication from multiple channels into a single unified inbox. Instead of switching between platforms, users can view all chats in one place, including conversations connected through external integrations such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other connected services via the Campaign module. This ensures that all incoming communication is centralized regardless of its source.

The Comments app similarly consolidates all comment activity related to the user. This includes comments from feeds, workboard tasks, internal discussions, or any other area within Laams Workspace where interaction occurs. It helps users stay aware of feedback, mentions, and collaborative discussions without needing to navigate each module separately.

In addition to these core tools, the home page also includes a list of other available applications, providing quick access to different parts of the system based on the user’s role and permissions.

A key feature of the home page is the Shortcuts section, which is designed for fast navigation and operational efficiency. Shortcuts allow users to instantly access frequently used services such as My Dashboard, Serveflow, Catalog, Academy, Campaign, Human Resources, and Finance. It also includes quick actions like creating a sales receipt or adding a new product, as well as direct navigation to specific sections within modules, such as jumping to events or locations inside the Catalog. This system reduces the number of clicks needed to perform common tasks and improves overall workflow speed.

Overall, the home page of Laams Workspace is structured as a centralized operational hub, combining time tracking, communication, task management, scheduling, and quick actions into one cohesive and efficient workspace.

Clocking In and Out (Timesheet Management)

The clocking system in Laams Workspace is designed to accurately record your working hours, activities, and attendance in a structured and verifiable way. It ensures that every working session is properly logged, whether you are working on shifts, tasks, projects, or operational services.

Clocking In

To begin your workday, go to the Home page of Laams Workspace and locate the Clock-in widget. Click the Clock-in button, which will take you to a dedicated clocking page. For security and attendance verification, the system will first request access to your current location. You must allow location permission to proceed, as this helps confirm your check-in accurately within the organization’s attendance system.

Once your location is verified, you will be presented with multiple ways to clock in depending on how you plan to work.

If you are assigned to a scheduled shift, you can select your Shift from the list of assigned shifts. This option is typically used for structured working hours where your time is pre-planned by the organization.

If you are working on a project or internal board, you can choose the Workboard option. After selecting this, you will need to pick the specific workboard you are contributing to. You can then add a short description of your work or activity before confirming your clock-in. This helps link your working hours directly to project-based tasks and team outputs.

If your work is task-driven, you can select the Task option. This allows you to choose from your assigned tasks, add a description of what you will be working on, and then clock in. This is useful when your day is structured around specific deliverables or responsibilities.

For operational teams using Serveflow, you can clock in directly into the system by selecting the Serveflow option. This mode is designed for point-of-sale, operations, appointment handling, sales tracking, and delivery activities. When clocking in here, you may also be required to enter your available cash balance before starting your shift, ensuring proper financial tracking during operations.

Clocking Out

At the end of your working session, you can click the Clock-out button to finish your shift. This action finalizes your timesheet and submits it for review. Once clocked out, your recorded time entries are sent to HR or the relevant approval system for validation and processing.

Breaks, Time-Off, and Time Tracking

The clocking widget also includes additional tools to help you manage your working day more effectively. You can log breaks during your shift to ensure your working hours are accurately adjusted.

You can also submit a time-off request directly through the same system, making it easier to manage leave without switching platforms or submitting separate forms.

In addition, the widget provides a summary view of your activity, allowing you to review your daily, weekly, or monthly timesheet entries. This helps you track working patterns, ensure accuracy, and stay aware of your logged hours across different periods.

Overall, the clocking system in Laams Workspace ensures transparent, structured, and flexible time tracking, whether you are working on shifts, tasks, projects, or operational activities.
