Laams Intellectual Property Policy

This Intellectual Property Policy (“Policy”) describes how all intellectual property (“IP”) associated with the technologies, platforms, products, services, inventions, and research of Laams Technologies PTY LTD (“Laams”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is owned, protected, licensed, and enforced.
Laams is a science, engineering, and technology company whose work spans advanced software systems, hardware devices, artificial intelligence, scientific research, and proprietary inventions.
All IP created, developed, manufactured, or distributed by Laams is strictly proprietary unless otherwise specified.
By accessing or using any Laams technology, you (“Customer”, “you”, or “your”) agree to comply with this Policy.
1. SCOPE OF OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
This Policy governs all forms of Laams intellectual property, including but not limited to:
1.1 Software
- Mobile, desktop, cloud, and web applications
- Laams Workspace
- Laams One
- Laams Academy
- Internal and external APIs, SDKs, libraries, toolkits
- Backend server architecture, databases, protocols, and microservices
- Proprietary algorithms, logic, and internal data flows
- UI/UX designs, layouts, animations, and design systems
- Source code, binaries, firmware, compilers, and interpreters
1.2 Hardware & Embedded Systems
- Physical devices, components, and products manufactured or distributed by Laams
- Electrical designs, PCB layouts, schematics, and circuitry
- Firmware, microcontroller software, and embedded logic
- Mechanical structures, form factors, and industrial designs
- Hardware installation and usage guidelines
- Prototypes, beta devices, and R&D hardware
1.3 Artificial Intelligence & Scientific Research
- AI/ML models (base models, fine-tuned models, custom models)
- Vision, speech, and multimodal recognition systems
- Model weights, embeddings, pipelines, training configurations
- Training datasets (unless expressly stated otherwise)
- Research outputs, scientific discoveries, and experimental frameworks
- Medical and educational inference models
- Simulations, statistical methods, and scientific tools
1.4 Content, Documentation & Media
- Documentation, manuals, whitepapers, and scientific papers
- Videos, tutorials, training modules, lesson content
- Marketing materials, brochures, graphics, icons, animations
- Product images and photography
- Any other written, digital, or media content produced by Laams
1.5 Branding & Corporate Identity
- Laams trademarks, service marks, trade names, and logos
- Product names, brand titles, slogans, and taglines
- Website design, visual identity, and brand guidelines
- Trade dress, layout, and the overall aesthetic of Laams products
2. OWNERSHIP
Laams owns and controls all intellectual property rights associated with:
- Its software and software architecture
- Its hardware and industrial designs
- Its AI models and datasets
- Its inventions and research findings
- All proprietary tools, methods, and processes
- All trademarks and branding assets
- All original content and documentation
Nothing in your use of Laams technologies grants you:
- Ownership
- Co-ownership
- Joint rights
- Title
- Moral rights
- IP claims
- Rights to inspect, analyze, or derive from Laams IP
All rights not expressly granted are reserved exclusively by Laams.
3. LICENSING TERMS
Unless a written agreement specifically provides otherwise, Laams software and hardware are provided under limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licenses.
3.1 Software License
Your license to Laams software:
- Is for lawful use only
- Does not include rights to view or access source code
- Does not permit redistribution, resale, or sublicensing
- Is subject to immediate revocation upon misuse
- Is limited to your own personal or organizational use
3.2 Hardware License
Purchasing Laams hardware gives you ownership of the physical device, but not:
- Firmware
- Embedded software
- Schematics
- Industrial designs
- Circuitry
- Mechanical structure
- Technical implementation details
You receive a license to use the hardware, not the right to reverse engineer, replicate, disassemble, or create derivative hardware.
3.3 AI System Access License
You are granted usage rights only for AI model outputs, subject to:
- No rights to model weights or architecture
- No rights to train competing systems using Laams outputs
- No rights to extract training datasets
- No rights to derive or reconstruct model behavior
- No rights to build derivative AI systems
3.4 Prohibited Licensing Activities
You may NOT:
- Reverse engineer
- Disassemble
- Decompile
- Extract firmware
- Duplicate hardware
- Circumvent licensing systems
- Remove proprietary notices
- Sublicense or resell Laams technologies
- Train models using Laams proprietary content
Any such attempt automatically terminates your license.
4. RESTRICTION ON USE
You may NOT use Laams intellectual property for:
- Creating derivative software or hardware
- Developing competing products
- Training AI or ML systems
- Redistribution or resale
- Scraping, mining, or extracting data
- Mimicking or duplicating Laams designs
- Decompiling or analyzing internal logic
- Accessing hidden APIs or internal interfaces
- Circumventing authentication or encryption
Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited and may result in:
- Account termination
- Revocation of all licenses
- Legal action
- Claims for damages
5. TRADEMARKS AND BRAND PROTECTION
Laams trademarks include but are not limited to:
- Laams
- Laams Workspace
- Laams One
- Laams Academy
- Laams Technologies
- Logos, brand marks, icons, and visual identity
You agree:
- Not to use Laams marks without written consent
- Not to create confusingly similar marks
- Not to use Laams branding in domains, social media handles, or marketing
- Not to imply endorsement, affiliation, or partnership
- Not to remove or alter trademark notices
All Laams marks are protected under applicable trademark and unfair competition laws.
6. CUSTOMER CONTENT AND MODEL OUTPUTS
6.1 Customer Content
You retain ownership of content you upload or create.
However, by using Laams Services, you grant Laams a limited license to process that content for service delivery.
6.2 AI Outputs
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- You may use outputs for personal or business use
- Laams retains rights to the underlying systems
- You may NOT analyze outputs to extract model behavior
Outputs do NOT imply rights to:
- Model internals
- Training data
- Derivative model creation
7. REVERSE ENGINEERING PROHIBITION
You may NOT:
- Disassemble or inspect hardware
- Probe firmware or extract embedded code
- Analyze chips, circuits, microcontrollers, or internal components
- Attempt to determine proprietary designs or layouts
- Interfere with bootloaders, security elements, or hardware protections
Any attempt to reverse engineer Laams hardware or software is strictly prohibited and may lead to criminal or civil liability.
8. RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENT
Laams may offer:
- Beta features
- Experimental technologies
- Research tools
- Scientific models
You acknowledge that:
- These are proprietary
- Provided “as is”
- May not be copied or reproduced
- Must not be used for regulated, life-critical, or medical systems without express approval
You may not publish research based on Laams technologies without explicit written permission.
9. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
All non-public information relating to Laams technologies, including:
- Research
- Source code
- Algorithms
- Specifications
- Hardware designs
- Security protocols
- Internal tools
is considered Confidential Information.
You may not disclose, share, copy, or use such information except as permitted in writing.
10. ENFORCEMENT
Laams actively enforces its intellectual property rights.
We may pursue:
- DMCA takedowns
- Temporary or permanent injunctions
- Monetary damages (statutory, punitive, and compensatory)
- Recovery of legal fees
- Civil litigation
- Termination of access or accounts
- Reporting violations to law enforcement
Laams may take immediate action without prior notice.
